Mission
Online calculators are everywhere, but most of them are clunky, ad-heavy, and hand back a number with no context. terican was built to be the opposite — fast, quiet, exhaustive, and accompanied by the formula in plain language.
Every result is computed in arbitrary precision and rounded only at the moment of display. No tracking, no advertising, no signup walls.
Method
Every conversion uses constants ratified by the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures. Calculator formulas are documented with their methodology, sources, and assumptions so you can verify the math yourself.
Calculators are open source, audited annually, and accompanied by their formulas in plain language — because a calculator that hides its arithmetic is just a magic trick.

terican is an AI-native platform. Calculator formulas, plain-English explanations, and reference content are produced with large language models working alongside verified data sources, and shipped only after automated and editorial review.
